Due to space constraints and functional requirements, many inspection tools need some structures that can change the angle and position accurately, and the turning mechanism is thus produced. For example, some products have complex shapes, and the support body that needs to be fixed during the installation process is movable. At this time, the turning mechanism can assist the operator to realize convenient and accurate installation actions. Or sometimes, after the product has been installed, other pressing or testing functions need to be applied to the surface, which is also where the steering mechanism is needed to help.

Fixed overturn mechanism

This mechanism mainly plays the role of pressing or supporting the product, so that the product can be accurately fixed on the fixture body, and can simulate the real installation state of the product. There are three common fixed turnover mechanisms:

1. Point-type fixing mechanism: The common one is the compression pliers, also known as the elbow clamp. This clamping member can realize the rotation and clamping action. Generally, the rubber head inside the mechanism is used for point contact with the product, which can make the product fit better with the main body of the inspection fixture. These clamping points are usually set near the measuring point to improve the measurement accuracy. The mechanism generally adopts commercially available standard parts, and can be processed and used by itself under special circumstances.

2. Surface fixing mechanism: Some products need to measure a larger or precise area, and the product has a certain degree of deformation, which requires a larger pressing area. At this time, the surface pressing mechanism is more suitable. Such a mechanism needs to use numerical control equipment to process imitation blocks similar to the product to realize the pressing action.

3. Supporting and fixing mechanism: Some products have complex shapes (such as many undercuts), and there is no need to directly fix the product on the inspection tool like the conventional method. The main body of the inspection tool needs to have a movable support surface (some are internally supported, some are externally supported), and then use the flip support and fixing mechanism, which can not only support the fixed product but also turn it over, which greatly facilitates the installation operation.
